One fisherman from each team must attend. Registration will still be open. Captain's meeting starts at 5:30pm.
Mid-Coast in Action
Mid-Coast Smackdown was started in 2018 by two friends who love to fish and wanted to find a way to help children. They knew a young girl who was battling Leukemia and raising funds for St. Baldrick's Foundation to help fund research. What a better way to support a young girl's battle than bringing friends together to fish and raise money along the way. Who can say no to a weekend of fishing when it benefits a worthy cause?
The first fishing tournament was held in May 2018. From our humble beginnings of a tournament with 8 teams, we have come a long way. From 2018 to 2024, our event was held in Port O'Conner.
In 2025, we moved to the Fulton Convention Center and packed the house with more than 90 teams and sponsors. For 2026, we will be in the same location, but expanded.
Since we started, we have helped more than 40 kids and their families with DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. As always, the Mid-Coast support is "no strings attached" to the families we serve.
Mid-Coast Kids
Mid-Coast Smackdown is committed to turning your contributions into DIRECT financial support for our Mid-Coast Kids. The Mid-Coast Kids application is open to any child in the State of Texas battling cancer.
